Website: www.vm-g.comStefan Dubois is one of the founding partners of the GIG. During his years of consulting he has acquired a broad experience base in many sectors ranging from telecom, high-tech, pharmaceuticals, defense, textile, food processing, metal- and wood-working to forestry and saw-mills. He is a sought after speaker.
Stefan achieved his Master of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Business Administration, in 1982 from the Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden. His Masters thesis concerned the possibilities of transferring the Toyota Production System and Japanese Kanban system – the logistics and culture – into Swedish companies.
During the 80-ies he was employed by Swedish Match and later STORA, implementing Kanban and flow production, developing and starting up new production facilities and also as Manager of the R&D department.
In 1991 he founded the consultancy Arcono AB together with Lars Peterson, in the beginning concentrating on Just-in-time and ISO 9000 implementations. In 1993 Stefan and Lars were associated with the Avraham Y. Goldratt Institute and have since then been doing work based on the Theory of Constraints. Through training within the Institute they achieved skills in all aspects of TOC and its applications. In 1996 he received the degree “Jonahs Jonah” from the Institute. Stefan was instrumental in the formation of the Velocity Management Group by merging Arcono AB and Janzon & Nilsson Management.
